Telraam
Affordable, fine-grained traffic counts of traffic volumes are essential for traffic engineering studies. With Telraam, we developed an integrated smart, high-quality traffic counter with low-cost hardware and a public web platform that allows citizens, professionals, academics, and local governments to conduct objective traffic counts on their own. Pedestrians, cyclists, cars, heavy transport, and their speed are counted individually, per direction of travel, as they pass the counting sensor. This data can then be used for - among other things - traffic engineering studies or a traffic image from a local economic perspective. This provides local authorities with objective figures to enter into dialogue, resulting in, for example, changes to the direction of traffic, the redesign of public spaces, greater cycling comfort, or adjustments to parking facilities.
More information about the geographical distribution of the counting networks and how you, as a municipality, study bureau, researcher, or individual citizen, can count yourself can be found on the Telraam website. If you have a question or would like to purchase one or more traffic counters, please mail [email protected].
