Bike ride in Lier
On Friday, October 29, a group of TML’ers went on a bike ride in Lier. Some arrived from Antwerp, others from Mechelen, and some from Leuven. We met at the train station of Lier, where our colleague Dirk, also a local citizen, was waiting for us. Under his expert guidance we drove around Lier, where we stopped every now and then and were treated to his fascinating insights into the city's history, its traffic engineering aspects, and choices for spatial planning.
Unfortunately, the rain hit, after which we quickly sought refuge indoors and enjoyed some (regional) beers and pizza! As the night drew closer, a core team of employees still went to a café to casually determine the future of the country and discuss TML's world plans.
