TML Talk #20 What is the effect of carbon emission reduction policies in the international shipping and air transport sector?
In this additional TML Talk, we zoomed in on the effects of a CO2 policy in the international maritime and aviation sector. More specifically, we discussed the application of CORSIA, an international agreement limiting CO2 emissions in international aviation. In addition, the potential effects of such an agreement for international shipping are analysed.
The speakers were Saana Ollila, a doctoral researcher at the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute, and Professor Stef Proost, emeritus professor with formal duties at the KU Leuven Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB).
