From 2002 to 2005
TML worked on three projects within the PREMTECH II network, aimed at developing new, efficient car technologies, including fuel-efficient diesel cars and hybrid engines. The TREMOVE model was used to estimate the market potential of these technologies and assess their impact on European air quality.

TML participated in three projects within the thematic network of PREMTECH II. In these projects, new, clean, and efficient prototypes of car technologies were developed. Specifically, they involved fuel-efficient diesel cars, new parallel hybrid technologies, and high-pressure turbo petrol engines. TML and KU Leuven supported the carmakers using TREMOVE model calculations. The TREMOVE model was applied to estimate the market potential of the new technologies and to evaluate their potential impact on European air quality.

In D-ULEV, a new diesel engine is being developed for Fiat and DaimlerChrysler cars. In SUVA, a hybrid engine is being developed for DaimlerChrysler, Fiat, and Volkswagen. GET-CO2 is a project in which Renault and Volkswagen are developing a petrol engine with high-pressure turbocharging.
