The province of Utrecht engaged TML to further optimise their strategic traffic model StraVeM and support practical applications. TML will assist the province for a year with specific research questions and field tests to refine model analyses and prepare recommendations for future updates of StraVeM.
To optimise the mobility of its residents, the province of Utrecht had a strategic traffic model developed, StraVeM, of which they received a new version in early 2023. With this model, the province can carry out targeted analyses and make plans for different transport modes (car, bicycle, and public transport). TML produced a report in late 2023 with recommendations for future updates of StraVeM. In the meantime, challenges remain to deploy StraVeM for practical applications. To answer innovative questions and calibration tests, the province of Utrecht approached TML for a new collaboration.
