TREMOVE update
08.40
From 2008 to 2010
TML worked on behalf of DG ENV to update the TREMOVE model, updating vehicle fleet and emission data based on recent projects such as FLEETS and EX-TREMIS. In addition, TML defined two new standard transport demand scenarios, which were developed and tested with sensitivity analyses in coordination with the iTREN-2030 project.
In 2009, TREMOVE was further updated, as commissioned by DG ENV, to bring the model in line with recent research projects and other models used by the European Commission. The focus lay on updating vehicle fleet and emission data, based on FLEETS (European Database of Vehicle Stock for the Calculation and Forecast of Pollutant and Greenhouse Gases Emissions with TREMOVE and COPERT) and EX-TREMIS (Exploring non road transport emissions in Europe) project work.
Two new standard scenarios were then defined for transport demand. The first, the baseline scenario, is based on policy measures in force from the end of 2008. The alternative default scenario will reflect envisaged policies until 2030. To ensure consistency in TREMOVE development, these scenarios were developed in coordination with the iTREN-2030 project, in which TML is also involved.
Finally, the new scenarios were tested by eight sensitivity analyses.
The outcome of this project is TREMOVE version 3.3.
