From 2009 to 2011
TML developed the model prototype GLADYSTE, a system dynamics simulation model for transport emissions, which can analyse policy issues around transport and climate change through four modules: transport demand, fleet dynamics, energy consumption, and emissions calculation.

Transport & Mobility Leuven developed a model prototype GLADYSTE (global scale system dynamic simulation model for transport emissions). The main objective was to develop reliable, useful, and thoroughly tested analytical tools to address transport and climate change policy issues that can look at the long-term impact of a global sectoral transport policy. The model prototype uses the system dynamics approach and consists of four modules, i.e. transport demand and desegregation, fleet dynamics, energy consumption and emissions calculation, and welfare impact calculation.
