TML TALK#15 Mobility poverty. Clarification, analysis and opportunities
On Thursday 8 June '23, we invite you to a new TML Talk.
This time the focus will be on mobility poverty.
The topic is introduced by Els Van den broeck of Mobiel 21.
Mobility poverty is multidimensional and has many facets. From project and study work, Mobiel 21 has built up a lot of expertise and Els takes us through some concrete examples and figures in the context of mobility poverty.
Then it will be up to our TML colleagues Rosanne Vanpée and Bruno Van Zeebroeck. Rosanne will explain the cost and affordability of electrification of transport and Bruno will zoom in on the difficulties that people with a physical or financial barrier face when they want to go on holiday or move around while on holiday. He will also present some solutions, one of which has since been piloted.
Finally, Annelies Geelen of vzw Mobiel and ODAV will take us through the daily reality for the Adapted Transport Services. Funding is under pressure and the mobility indication will determine who is entitled to which type of transport. She gives us interpretation on the latest state of affairs on this.
Intro & moderator is colleague Wouter Florizoone who will introduce the context and speakers and moderate the Q&A session.
