TML prepared sheets on thirteen variables and five actors affecting the automobility system in Wallonia. These sheets formed the basis for a scenario exercise by IWEPS to explore future scenarios for automobility.

This project focused on writing fiches on thirteen variables and five actors affecting the automobility system in Wallonia. The study was a preparatory step for a scenario exercise being carried out by IWEPS (Institut wallon de l'Évaluation, de la Prospective et des Statistiques).

The variables we looked at were broad and included topics such as energy security, mobility business models, demographic effects, types of vehicles, spatial planning, mobility poverty, and paradigms used by the government in mobility policies. The actors we surveyed included the European Union, the Walloon Region, and manufacturers and suppliers of vehicles and mobility services. The aim was to gain a deeper understanding of how these factors influence automobility in Wallonia. The sheets also provide possible highly varied future scenarios for each variable.

The sheets formed the input for a scenario exercise on the future of the automobility system in Wallonia.
