TML conducted an assessment of the cycling policy in the Walloon municipality of Grez-Doiceau, analysing the level of development and the strengths and weaknesses of the current policy. This assessment was carried out through stakeholder interviews, document analysis, field observations, and a survey of residents and resulted in a detailed report with action points for improvement.
Among other things, the aim was to evaluate the level of development of the municipal cycling policy in Grez-Doiceau. We wrote down the results in a detailed report. First, it contains the methodology of our audit and the current level of development of the different policies, which we listed from least to most integrated. In addition, we identified the strengths and weaknesses of the current cycling policy, after which we formulated action points in six different domains to strengthen the current cycling policy.
Our method is based on interviews with stakeholders, being political decision-makers, administrative departments, external partners, and cyclists in the broad sense. We also analysed existing documentation, carried out field observations, and conducted a survey of Grez-Doiceau residents.
The report was submitted to the client at the end of December 2022 and is publicly available.
