The Brussels Institute for Environmental Management (IBGE) conducted an exploratory and comparative study for an environmentally friendly mobility strategy in the Brussels Capital Region in 2004. It was a literature review of practical examples of measures to reduce road traffic volumes. Besides a description of the case studies, a comparison with the situation in the Brussels Capital Region was made to facilitate an assessment of the applicability and feasibility in Brussels, or of possible improvements if a similar measure was already implemented in Brussels.
