TEN-T planning methodology
09.31
From 2009 to 2010
TML developed a methodology to help the EU plan the TEN-T network, focusing on the maintenance and development of multimodal networks according to the core network goals of the Green Paper.
The trans-European transport network (TEN-T) is part of central European transport planning. The objective of TEN-T policy is to ensure European infrastructure provision in line with the economic, social, and political goals set out in the Lisbon Treaty. More specifically, TEN-T policy focuses on the maintenance and formation of future multimodal networks in the Member States.
The methodology developed in this study for planning a TEN-T network aimed to support the EU by providing a methodical backbone for TEN-T policy, more specifically for the core network as defined in the Green Paper.
