TML worked out the mobility aspects of the Global Spatial Strategic Plan for Vilvoorde, which outlines future spatial development. This included formulating a Global Vision and Strategic Projects with concrete actions to ensure the implementation of the plan.
The Global Spatial Strategic Plan (GRSP) sets the outlines for the future spatial development of Vilvoorde. Based on four tracks, namely the city in the valley, the inhabited city, the bustling city, and the connected city, various scenarios were worked out through design research, focusing on developing the building blocks for a vision on the scale of Vilvoorde.
Based on these four storylines, the general framework for the GRSP was summarised in a Global Vision with long-term objectives for spatial development. From this vision, Strategic Projects with concrete actions were formulated to ensure the implementation of this Spatial Strategic Plan in the short term.
TML supported this process in terms of the mobility aspects.
