Hanne De Naegel
ResearcherHanne De Naegel graduated as a civil engineer specialising in traffic, logistics, and intelligent transport systems. She specialises in traffic modelling and the design of vehicle-dependent traffic light control systems. Using this expertise, she has carried out microsimulations of the Leuven ring road and the traffic complexes of the E17 motorway near Kortrijk, among other things. She is also active in the field of ‘Minder Hinder’ (less inconvenience during road works), supporting contractors in larger infrastructure projects.

Traffic light control systems: an overview
An overview of all traffic light control systems TML developed.

TML is developing the master plan for the redevelopment of Flanders' heaviest black spot.

Support MDVM
Dynamic traffic models capture travel times and traffic jams in a realistic manner and are therefore ideally suited for scenario analyses at local and regional level to support dynamic traffic management.

Traffic Scout
TML developed a simplified traffic model that uses Telraam data to analyse local mobility interventions in collaboration with citizens.
