TML and Vectris optimised measures for the N32 in Roeselare to improve the flow and reliability of public transport. TML conducted Vectris simulations and helped identify bottlenecks and propose solutions.
In this assignment for Roads and Traffic West Flanders, TML and Vectris worked out and calculated measures to optimise traffic flow on the N32 axis at Roeselare. The aim was to eliminate or reduce public transport bottlenecks, minimising travel time and (especially) increasing timetable reliability.
In this study, we made an integral analysis of the entire traffic axis. Concrete measures were developed for the identified bottlenecks, which were evaluated and refined using detailed Vissim simulations. This took into account planned developments in the vicinity of the N32.
In this assignment, TML carried out the Vissim simulations and contributed to the inventory of the current situation, the identification of the bottlenecks, and the proposal of measures.
