The Flemish government and local authorities are striving to increase bicycle use as part of a more sustainable mobility policy. TML worked with various partners to identify and document best practices in cycling policies and measures, resulting in informative sheets on the Fietsberaad website.
The Flemish government and cities and municipalities have the ambition to place even greater emphasis on cycling as a lever towards a more sustainable mobility policy. To support this process, Fietsberaad Vlaanderen was established in October 2014. Fietsberaad Vlaanderen wants to ensure a smooth exchange of knowledge and information with everyone who wants to promote bicycle use.
As part of this objective, TML, together with Mobiel 21, Traject, and Timenco, inventoried and described best practices in cycling policy, cycling research, and cycling measures from home and abroad for Fietsberaad. This resulted in clear sheets that can be consulted via Fietsberaad's website and which present interesting examples in an appealing and very informative way.
