In Zaventem, VOKA organised an informative and interactive session 'Cycling solutions for companies' at the end of February '22. With this event about bicycle infrastructure and cycling culture, De Werkvennootschap wants to increase the bicycle use of employees, and this specifically for the three municipalities in the zone Zaventem-Vilvoorde-Machelen.
About 40 mobility coordinators, HR managers or fleet managers of companies and organisations were attentive attendees.
Colleague Wouter Florizoone opened the afternoon session with a keynote presentation on bicycle sharing between Leuven and Brussels. He explained the origin of the currently known bicycle route as the F3 bicycle highway and how qualitative bicycle sharing can be the leverage for employees to start commuting by bike. Subsequently, under the guidance of colleagues Bruno Van Zeebroeck and Wouter Florizoone, the attendees brainstormed about the themes of culture and communication - cycling behaviour, cycling safety, infrastructure and accessibility. A fascinating afternoon with many satisfied participants thanks to the input of our TML-colleagues.
