Kris Vanherle
ResearcherKris Vanherle is an industrial engineer in Biochemistry and has a Master's degree in Environmental Science and Engineering. Kris has broad expertise in environmental aspects of transport and led several studies for European and national governments on behalf of TML. One of his main research areas is the emission determination of different transport modes. To this end, he has developed and managed several emission models (EMMOSS, TREMOVE ...). In addition, Kris is regularly involved in the impact analysis of various measures that reduce the environmental impact of transport (ecofiscality, CO2 standards, subsidies for new, green technologies, scrap premium ...), based on quantitative modelling studies. More recently, Kris has been working with citizen-science techniques as a new method for impact analyses of air quality and mobility. In that context, he co-developed Telraam and is CEO of TML's subsidiary Rear Window.
