Sven Maerivoet is a doctor in Traffic Engineering and expert in transport planning models, traffic flow theory, big data and statistical analysis, and smart mobility solutions. His focus lies on travel time loss, congestion costs, parking problems, cooperative intelligent transport systems, road pricing, connected and self-driving mobility, and privacy aspects of GPS data and open data. He is also one of the creators of Telraam. Sven regularly acts as a coordinator for European projects and as a reviewer for European calls and various scientific journals and conferences. He is a member of the Board of Directors of ITS Belgium. He is also a member of TML’s communications team and acts as digital protection officer.
